Think of the "cube" as an electronics AND programming project. Yes, high school students can definitely learn to write code to a microcontroller! But even better, the students begin to actually "think" like programmers, not just cutting and pasting code. (See our programming page).

Students solder resistors, transistors, a voltage regulator, LEDs, SMT resistors, IC holder, and a capacitor They have to measure, cut and strip dozens of wires then solder correctly following instructions carefully. The manual has instructor checkpoints along the way.
